At Recreational Fishing, we’re all about getting you out on the water with gear you can trust. We know that a smooth delivery and the confidence to shop are just as important as the gear itself. Here’s our straightforward policy on getting your orders to you and handling returns if something isn’t quite right.
Getting Your Gear: Shipping Policy
We hustle to get your order processed and on its way to you quickly. Here’s what you can expect:
- Order Processing: We’ll get your order packed and out the door within 1-2 business days.
- Shipping Methods & Times:
- Standard Shipping (A$12.95): Shipped via DHL or FedEx. Your gear will typically arrive within 10-15 business days after it’s been dispatched.
- Free Shipping: For orders over A$50, we ship via EMS. Delivery typically takes 15-25 business days after dispatch.
Please Note: These times are estimates. Delivery to remote or international locations (especially across Asia and some remote areas we don’t service) may experience slightly longer transit times.
Our Returns & Exchanges Promise
We stand behind our gear. If you’re not completely stoked with your purchase, we’ll work with you to make it right. We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of you receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and with all tags attached – just as we sent them to you.
How to Return an Item: A Simple 5-Step Process
- Contact Us: Email us at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and the reason for your return. (Feel free to use the template at the bottom of this page!).
- Wait for Instructions: We’ll reply within 2 business days with a return authorization and the shipping address for our returns depot.
- Pack It Up: Securely package the item in its original packaging with all accessories, documentation, and tags.
- Ship It Back: Send the package to the address we provided. We recommend using a tracked shipping service for peace of mind.
- Notify Us: Email us your tracking number so we can keep an eye out for your return.
Return Shipping & Refunds
Shipping Costs: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our end (e.g., we sent the wrong item or it arrived damaged).
Refund Processing: Once we receive and inspect your returned item:
- We’ll process your refund within 5 business days.
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
- Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
For exchanges, we’ll ship your replacement item as soon as we have received and processed your return. Standard shipping times will apply.
