The Reel
The new Shimano Ultegra 2500 FB Spinning Reel is
designed and built with inspired performance in mind. It’s packed
with premium Shimano features to provide smoothness and durability
that you want in a fishing reel. The Ultegra 2500 FB is well suited
to all spin-lure fishing applications.

Shielded Anti-Reverse Bearings
These bearings have been through the same process as the A-RB
bearings, but feature shields on both sides of the bearings that
reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearings’
rotation.

Aluminium Cold Forged Spool
These spools provide strength and durability over diecast aluminium
or graphite spools.

Power Roller
This is an oversized line roller that reduces twist from casting
and retrieving and is enhanced with a tapered area on the support
to help line get onto the roller quicker.

X-Ship
By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with the S-ARB bearings
and integrating bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing
efficiency and power. This results in a fishing reel with
ultra-light handle rotation; less effort and power giving a perfect

AR-C Spool Management System
Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations
it has been determined that this new AR-C spool lip design provides
