The Reel
Shimano shattered their targets and have built the Shimano
Trinidad TN20A Reel for casting which all other reels will
be measured by. Unbelievably compact compared with previous models,
the latest generation of the venerable series excels at inshore and
blue-water applications alike – just like you would expect from
reels bearing the Trinidad name. It has all the latest Shimano
technologies including an Ultra light weight cold-forged aluminium
Magnumlite spool and one-piece side plate and frame both featuring
Electronic Ionization (EI) surface treatment and chrome-plated
screws for the kind of extreme corrosion protection you need in
saltwater. Its eight shielded A-RB bearings ensure super-smooth
performance while its lightweight spool benefits from the Super
Free (SF) system, encouraging ultra slick freespool.

The Trinidad A series of reels are rated for monofilament,
fluorocarbon and PowerPro braided lines. High Efficiency Gearing
(HEG) and X-Ship gear support system increases its efficiency power
